Good morning to YYYOOUUUU!! 🎶 I’ve been considering more ways to live sustainably lately, and have started composting food scraps, buying organic cotton clothes from sustainable ethical makers (or thrifting), and recycling EVERYTHING I can! I have an affinity for glass jars, and keep and repurpose the big ones with lids for food storage and drinking, and old labels are easily removed by soaking the jar in a white vinegar/water solution for a few hours. While I am renovating my home, I’ve also found many great eco-conscious products like clay-based paints, stains, homemade cleaners, and only prefer to buy upcycled wood furniture. Every little bit helps! Do you have any sustainable tricks or tips you’d like to share in the comments? I’d love to hear from you! –

Mondays are my FAVORITE… I always begin Monday with a renewed sense of purpose, motivation, and excitement for whatever unforeseeable events may occur. I LIVE for Mondays, but it hasn’t always been that way: I grew up angry, and later in life as I began my spiritual development, I came to realize that my anger originated from fear and never feeling a sense of safety. The defensiveness and correlated ego that came along with my fear were only addressed and calmed when I recognized my anxiety triggers in the moment they occurred. If you too can relate, may I suggest an easy practice that may help you ease your anxiety before it becomes a triggered response or taxing emotion; breathe deeply. It takes just a few moments of diaphragmatic breathing, or belly-breathing, to remind your subconscious and nervous system that even in the moment you begin to feel triggered, you are safe. I like to also incorporate four-fold breathing (four second breath in, four second hold, four second breath out, four second hold, and repeat for about a minute), and love to utilize this tool when I find myself in moments of contracted frustration. Give it a try… it’s free, and subtle, but I assure you with practice, it can quickly become a rapid response tool to take your emotional well-being into your own hands.
